Leather Care
Common Vessel pieces are designed for everyday use. Over time, natural leather will soften, deepen in colour, and develop a unique patina that reflects how you carry it.
Day-to-Day Care
- Keep it dry: If exposed to water, blot gently with a soft cloth and allow to air-dry naturally.
- Avoid heat: Never use artificial heat sources to dry leather.
- Clean lightly: Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust or surface debris.
- Store thoughtfully: When not in use, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Conditioning
Leather requires minimal conditioning.
- Apply a small amount of quality leather conditioner using a soft cloth.
- Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Allow the leather to absorb fully, then buff lightly.
Please Avoid:
- Alcohol-based cleaners, hand sanitizer, harsh soaps or chemicals
- Excess moisture or soaking
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight
- Abrasive surfaces
- Overstuffing beyond the product’s intended capacity
Natural Characteristics
Leather is a natural material. Variations in grain, texture, and colour are normal and are not considered defects.
12-Month Limited Warranty
Our Commitment
Common Vessel products are crafted with intention and care. If a manufacturing defect arises under normal use, we’ll make it right.
Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date of delivery, including:
- Stitching coming undone under normal use
- Structural failure due to craftsmanship

Hardware defects (where applicable)
What’s Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear (scratches, scuffs, edge wear, patina, softening)
- Water damage, staining, sun fading, or discoloration
- Damage caused by misuse, accidents, improper care, or improper storage
- Cosmetic changes that do not affect functionality
- Damage caused by overstuffing or forcing contents
- Unauthorized repairs or alterations

Warranty Resolution
If a claim is approved, replacement is prioritized.
At our discretion, we may offer:
- Replacement (same item; if unavailable, a comparable item)
- Repair (where possible)
- Store credit

Refund (in limited circumstances)
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Email hello@commonvessel.co with:
- Your order number or proof of purchase
- Clear photos or video of the issue

A brief description of the problem and when it appeared
We may request the item be returned for inspection.
Shipping for Warranty Claims
- We cover return shipping for approved warranty claims.

Instructions and any necessary labels will be provided after review.
International Orders
This warranty applies internationally under the same terms. Customs duties and taxes are non-refundable.
Gifts & Ownership
Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
Wholesale Orders
Warranty terms for wholesale or bulk purchases may differ and will be defined in the applicable wholesale agreement.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Common Vessel is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use.
